GSM Normal burst training sequence?

I understand from one of the specs that the training sequence number
for the downlink
common control channels is specified in BCCH (TS 23.003). This seems to
imply that
the training sequence for uplink CCH's and the traffic channels may be
assigned by some other method or possibly dynamically for a specific MS
and maybe different than the BCCH color code.
How is the training sequence number assigned by the BTS for:
-uplink CCH's
-tch up/down
-PDTCH (gprs-gmsk)
-sacch on a TCH physical channel

Thanks.
