McHenry,
My company, RJS Software, develops solutions like what you are talking
about. Feel free and touch base with me when you are available and we
can discuss how workflow's are initiated. Also, we develop both a
document/content managment solution which is today implemented into
Windows or AS/400 (iSeries) and a workflow solution that installs into
any environment...including Linux.

We are setting up a small business in the finance field.
I am looking for solutions for both document management and workflow and
trying to understand both in the process.
Our processes are repetitive and suited to workflow models I believe. I
understand how some flows can be initiated by a document in the DocMgt
system however can't see how I can initiate processes by intangible events
such as a telephone call received etc.
Is there are good site to start researching these topics and any recommended
DocMgt/Workflow solutions that are Linux based ?
Thanks in advance...
