I was more curious
about Cincinnati Bell Wireless. How could a cell phone provider that
only offers service in one metropolitan area survive? They are GSM
and have roaming agreements with Cingular/AT&T Wireless.
Does this mean people in the Cincinnati area are out of luck with the
upcoming iPhone? It seems only Cingular/AT&T Wireless customers
can get them.
I know this is a weird question, but I'm an Apple and telecom geek.
:-)
Cincinnati Bell remains an independent ILEC and even though there are
roaming agreements with AT&T (fka Cingular Wireless) it's not part of
AT&T. As far as I know AT&T will be the exclusive agent for the
iPhone for an exclusive period and no other US wireless operator will
have it during this exclusive period.
