Hi,
I have two questions, but I tryed to found out it's answer
i was not able to understand.
Please teach me.
1.When loopback 0 is advertised on OSPF and it is authenticated,
is loopback 0 included in "ip ospf message-digest-key md5 xxxx"
too ?
2.In MQC case, can we use "prioryty" instead of "police" ?
I just so happen to be re-reading some info on OSPF from Jeff Doyles Routing TCP/IP Vol 1 (2nd Edition). If I have interpreted this correctly:
The OSPF packet Header is where the authentication information is & key info is recorded. Routing information for the *Loopback IP would be contained in another packet e.g. Link State Update, perhaps Database Description Packet (summary information)
NB As an aside Loopback interfaces are considered stub networks & advertised as host routes. This can be changed by adding ip ospf network point-to-point under the Loopback interface (as of IOS 11.3). When done the Loopback will be advertised as a subnet route instead.

Darren
