You can define access port on switch in (for example) vlan 300 and connect
it to router . On router port you can create ip address- so this is another-
but in my opinion not better way. After that you should connect you switches
witj trunk port with alloved vlan 300.

I have a 3845, that I need to run to two different 3550 switches,
while
maintaining the same vlan across both switches,
The only way I can think to do this is IRB with the router trunk
subinterfaces? Is there another way?
Also, my company have an internal OSPF network, I need to tunnel
differnet
customer network thorugh my core.
Can VRF work in this environment so I can separate the customer
routing
tables? Does anyone have a example of this confg/
.
