Hello everyone!
It's time for an absurdly stupid question from me...
----

I have a freshly configured 3620 (rtr_int01), it has 2 NM2fe2w modules.
I have 2924 switches, no vlans.

My computer is a Win2000 server with WINS/DNS/AD installed.
NIC is 192.168.1.101 255.255.255.0
GW is 192.168.1.2
DNS is (me), and other DNS server on the 192.168.30.x network
WINS is (me)

Equipment hops:
(me), switch, switch, rtr_int01, switch, rtr_gateway

From my server I can ping thru switches 1 & 2,
then I can ping into rtr_int01 (int fa0/1).
I can ping the other side of this router (intfa0/0)
I can ping the next switch.
(there is a secured gateway router past here, highly secured)

There are no dropped pings. BUT...

I can not access the internet.

If I bypass the router (rtr_int01), and connect my Patchcord directly in to the
switch past the router, I can access the internet.

here is the router config in question:

nat is on the gateway router.
Since this is strictly an interior router, no access lists were created.

When I check interfaces, they are all up/up.

Shouldn't the router allow all traffic (incl. Internet) by default if no access lists are in place?

Any help is greatly appreciated!
Gerri

How does your routing table look? Is rtr_int01 getting updates from
rtr_gateway?
