along the Grand Strand of SC!

We have a permanent position located in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina
for a Senior Network Administrator.


Configures and maintains the organizations LAN server and LAN
connectivity Hubs, Switches and routers. Acts as primary organizational
interface with vendors and provides internal analysis and support.



Manages performance of multiple hardware and software platform
interface at the most complex level. Works with multiple hardware and
software platforms at an intermediate level. Provides support to all
client locations, globally, relating to LAN, server, router and LAN
connectivity issues. Assist in writing LAN standards and procedures.



Maintains monitors and assigns security passwords for server access,
across the LAN Network. Responsible for maintaining the TCP/IP subnet
addressing for the assignment of TCP/IP addresses across the enterprise
network.

Skills:

4 Year Degree in Computer Science preferred or 4-year degree in related
studies. Courses pertaining to server operating systems, such as, Red
Hat Linux, Unix, Microsoft NT, Microsoft Windows 2000 Server, Windows
2003 Server and Novell Netware, CISCO Systems/Router configuration
training. Firewall configurations and installations.
At least 4 years experience in LAN Administration, networking and
Server support. With emphasis on server configurations and software
installation from operating system to applications.
Background in project management.
Should be able to intercede in new projects for recommendations,
planning and diagramming.
Must possess a working knowledge of Red Hat Linux using Power SMB LDAP
Security, as well as Linux Send Mail application.
Must be proficient in Microsoft Applications and OS.
MCSE is desired
Must be able to act as second level support for Network
Administrators(s) in problem determination of LAN/LAN equipment, as
well as problems with TCP/IP addressing.
Must be able to explain the integration of multiple platforms across a
LAN and wide area network.
Must be able to do project management, not only from an IS perspective,
but, be able to explain the project and the project objectives on a
level that the standard user can understand.

US Citizenship/Green Card status is required.
