Pix 7.0 & route tunneled

Hello,

what is the exact meaning of the following statment in version 7.0.x of the
Pix software:
route interface 0 0 gateway tunneled
It routes VPN data that arrives at the Pix. The question is, does this affect
VPN tunnels across the Pix or is it intended for tunnels ending on the Pix?
