Hi there,
I have a us courier 56k versus everything external modem. How can I query
the modem to get all settings/configuration in case I will need to replace
it some day? Thanks a lot, Calin

For the 2806, the support page is here:

http://www.usr.com/support/product-template.asp?prod=2806

The AT command reference is here:

http://www.usr.com/support/2805/2805-files/494-01.zip

You can query the modem with a terminal program, like Hyperterminal
set to connect to the modem's com port. For example, you can setup
Hyperterminal to Direct to Com1. Per the command reference, to query
the modem's current settings use ATi4.

Generally, you only need to worry about the configuration if you have
some sort of custom configuration for a special application. For
Windows DUN the normal default setup string for a modem under the
modem's .inf file will be all you need. So, there's really no need to
do a special check the config settings under ATi4 if you only use the
modem under DUN.
