Hi Ed,
What you said is 100% truth. But I am doing this on behalf of a client
and they want me to evaluate Linter. I ought to give them the
performance report. May be, I can mention the facts you pointed out in
my report.
Thanks,
Shaji.
Hope that was some help. Just curious, what are the other databases in
the evaluation?
I realize you may be pretty far along, but before evaluating specific
products you and your client need to come up with the criteria to use
for the evaluation. If the rules are not established beforehand, then
you can get into preference battles where one manager like a certain
DBMS and another manager likes a different one. This is no fun for the
contractor caught in the middle.
Well good luck!
Ed
At present we've been asked to evaluate only Oracle Lite, CacheDB and
Linter. It seems the target platform has some memory\processing power
constraints. Most probably it'd be an embedded system. We are not
quite sure as they wouldn't divulge the details.
Thanks,
Shaji
