E*Trade's database systems?

Does anyone know what database vendor and middleware vendors are used
at E*Trade?
Does anyone know if E*Trade's IT functions are outsourced? And if so,
to whom?
I'm asking because this company's computer systems are the most
dysfunctional systems I've ever seen in my entire 25 years in hi-tech.
I think an 8 year old kid who is bad at math, using a Radio Shack
TRS-80, working at a lemonade stand in a hurricane, over a weekend
drinking kool-aid, while alternating time in the playground could put
together more secure and functional computer systems.
Examples:
* Today, E*Trade is simply technically unable to update customer
address information in their multiple databases. I've been trying
since January 2006, and invested about 2 weeks of time and about a
dozen faxes to E*Trade, and they cannot get their multiple databases to
have the same phone numbers for the same exact accounts. This is just
surreal that any company or lemonade stand could be this dysfunctional.
* Account verification forms that popup when the user logs in. E*Trade
is unable to remove these forms after a customer has completed it.
Again, days of time invested on my part in calls to E*Trade and faxes
sent, and E*Trade just cannot appear able to fix the problem.
* Security Accountability issue: E*Trade cannot track when customer
account information is changed, or by whom. When I call in regards to
unauthorized changes to my address information, which I tracked back to
E*Trade employees using my own records, they point-blank told me that
the information had never been changed and that they had no way to
track this. And so, what is to keep a malicious hacker, a malicious
employee, or a criminal set on identify theft, from tampering with
E*Trade computer systems?
I could write a long novel on this with examples, but the bottom line
is that this company is an absolute and complete mess.
And so from a customer accountability point of view, does anyone want
to post the IT vendors that E*Trade is using so that the world can
avoid these companies like Bird Flu.
