If you want compatibility with old programs, Fox runs very well under Wine.
There is AFAIK no known Fox interpreter in linux, and probably never will
be. Those xbase products grew out of a niche that never existed in the
*nix world, all languages there are C/S native.
Actually there was dbman that had a port to linux.
I can't even find a copy of that around. I have an old
foxbase that runs under sco but of course it has
Y2K difficulties.
