I want from trigger the body to produce updates to other databases(not
Pick) or files.
For example from trigger the body to send a windows message to the
user windows running the process. As an option set record.
This is possible?
Take a look at the new "alpha" NebulaRemoteControl which does exactly
what you've asked:

(remove the text before Nebula)
You can display the message exactly as you've asked, plus you can put
data on a client's PC and then run a program to move data anywhere you
want, just like you asked. So yes, it's all possible and I'm doing
this every day.
The idea here is to make more use of the client's PC where you don't
know if they're running AccuTerm, wIntegrate, some other terminal
emulator, or even a browser. It's completely separate from the
application UI but integrates easily to make it look like the UI and
other activity are a part of the same program.
As examples of use:
- If someone in Support is on the phone with a customer, popup a
notification to the Sales rep that there is a call open.
- If Sales takes a new order for some high value, popup a notification
on the owner's desktop.
- If there are some application issues, a notification can display on
your VAR's PC so that no one needs to call for help.
This is not "just" for MV but a general utility that also integrates
with all MV DBMS/OS platforms. This offering is not yet available to
the public as I've been focused on NebulaXLite and other products
which companies are actively using now, but with increased demand also
comes increased priority, so inquiries are welcome.
Semi-related, we've just completed work on an Outlook interface that
does something similar: When a user is sending or receiving mail,
checking contacts or appointments, they can click a button to check
the DBMS for related info. For example, you type "Dear Jim, your
current balance is $ORDERBAL" and click a button, and the server will
replace $ORDERBAL with the correct balance. Or updates can be made
automatically to the server so that your CustomerMaster file is aware
that someone is having an email exchange with the customer. You can
update the Customer or Vendor files with the latest email address from
a given contact. Or if someone is sending an email to a specific
contact your server can pro-actively popup a notification that the
customer is on credit hold.
All of this is possible with integration between Outlook and you MV
application. None of this (remote control or Outlook integration)
requires users to be on a local intranet, any user can be anywhere on
the internet.
Ask your end-users what they can use, make suggestions, give people
some vision about what's possible and you might be able to save them
some time and hassle by providing them with better information. And
support providers can offer new pro-active support services to their
end-users, adding value to their overall offering for new and existing
clients.
