This reminds me of a similar problem I had a couple of years ago.
A client wanted to update his records management system with details
of MS Word documents created by his staff.
I quickly got Word talking to D3 using the Class Library hooked in
with VBA. The problem was that I could never get it to disconnect
until the user logged off his PC. This meant that the client would
need to double his user licences just to allow each user to update the
RM system and simultaneously keep their main app session working.
Needless to say, I logged a support call (The client was paying for
Gold support) and , needless to say RD were not interested in the
problem.
VB6 with respect to how things are called.
I'm going to get VB6 installed on my test VM and see if it even works
there. I tried rolling back to the C30 driver from C32 and there was no
change.
Good luck in getting the brCloseConnection() call working but I don'tThanks. I'm not liking my chances either, but I'll be damned if I'm going
like your chances.
to give up without giving it my best shot. Even knowing I won't use the
result for production, it still needs to be attempted. :)
Mark - the brExecute call didn't do the trick, but it was a good suggestion!
Thanks!
