Re: exporting data from D3 using ODBC

There's a thing called the Device Manager. You can usually find it in the Start>Programs>d3 folder. Use it to set the name of the system to be the same as the Windows system name. Update, shutdown D3 and Reboot. Also shutdown ODBC server and restart.
In the old days, we used this analogy. Everybody understands paper.
The computer stores all the information for your company. It stores it in filing cabinets we call "hard drives" and gives each an identifying code (C, D, Etc). Each of those cabinets is divided into accounts (like a drawer). Each account contained files and each file contained records.
An account is a subdivision of your database for accounting and access issues.

D3 version is 7.3.0 while D3 ODBC Client Installation is at version
2.0.30.
computer was renamed, but before the D3 install and there is not trace
of the old name in the registry, someone knows which key we should
review?
I have some doubt about the correctness of our parameters because I
still do not understand what the concept of Account is, can someone
explain it?

find the machine it's looking for.
What version of D3. odbc, etc?
You can usually fix this with a regedit fix, or with re-install of system.
Each has it's pitfalls.
Laughed at my many people, if configured correctly and used correctly, ODBC
can move a lot of data between two systems.
