D3 version is 7.3.0 while D3 ODBC Client Installation is at version
2.0.30.
computer was renamed, but before the D3 install and there is not trace
of the old name in the registry, someone knows which key we should
review?
I have some doubt about the correctness of our parameters because I
still do not understand what the concept of Account is, can someone
explain it?

I have typically seen this error if, after installation of D3, you rename
the computer in Windows. "Cannot Bind Remote Connection" means it cannot
find the machine it's looking for.
What version of D3. odbc, etc?
You can usually fix this with a regedit fix, or with re-install of system.
Each has it's pitfalls.
Laughed at my many people, if configured correctly and used correctly, ODBC
can move a lot of data between two systems.

we have a database implemented by another company, we need to migrate
data to a new relational db.
we have read Raining Data documentation and started installing
services needed to run the D3 software,
D3FSI and D3ODBCSV are properly running but D3VMI fails with this
error:
Diagnostics.. successfully completed
Activating Processes....................
Checking for Interrupted Transactions...
[507] Scheduler started.
[1138] Spooler jobs have been converted to hold files.
[1139] The spooler is started.
*** Remote File System Error ***
Open (fsi:dm,USERS,) Cannot Bind Remote Connection
O=Logoff / Q=Quit / R=Retry / C=Continue ?
we can't understand if we miss some configuration or parameter to
start the service.
we have tried to connect to the db via ODBC using Access, but we don't
know what the voice Account is(is it the database currently selected?)
and even the account password.
this is our setting:
Host:<PCname>
Port Number: 1603
Virtual Machine:"pick0"
D3 User ID:<myid>
User Password:<mypswd>
D3 Account:<my_db_name>
Account Password:""
the returned ODBC Host error is the following:
[Raining Data][ODBC D3 Driver]Logon failed. Check D3 connection
parameters and available licenses. (#0)
is D3VME needed using ODBC services?
are our ODBC parameters correct?
is there another way to export data from D3 db instead of ODBC?
thanks in advance.
