Uh... I never suggested arbitrary timeouts. That idea was proposed
by both Peter and the OP, Matt.

I did confirm that Peter's idea of a "token" with an expiration would
rely on such a thing, similar to web site sessions. Perhaps I should
have clarified that such an approach has potential issues.
