Thanks to the info...
I was able to run the LIST-PORTS command and I get 2 identical lines
( i guess for each port):
Baud Rate: 9600
Parity: None
Stop bits: 1
Word Length: 8
Typeahead: RB?
Flow Control: RB?
Carrier Detect: RB?
Extend Character set: ON
I'm not sure what RB? stands for and I am not sure what the handshake
method is...
I found a female to femal serial cable which I assume is a null modem
(not sure why it would not be)
I am also working on building a cable from scratch in order to play
with the layout.
The question nobody seems to answer me is: What is supposed to happen
if things were connected correctly with the right settings?
If someone could start with that would help because then I would watch
for that behavior on accuterm.
So, characters automatically appear on the screen once connected?
2nd basic question: is there anything to do on the host to enable
connection? is serial hosting capability always on?
