File Inconsistency Encountered

Some time ago we started getting the following message when doing a
tape backup.The backup and the verify complete and we are advised that
we have six file inconsistencies. This sounds like group format
errors but I think it must be something different.

File Inconsistency Encountered - Incorrect Count Field
Q=Quit/O=Logoff/S=Skip/F=Fix/T=Truncate/<CR>=Debug?Q

Today I got the same message when viewing the System Master File in
our application through the editor and then typing "EX" to exit the
file.

Does anyone know how I can find the files that are inconsistent and
make suggestions on how to fix them (or find what is inconsistent).
Thanks
Bob Marik
