Bruce,

I have never said that Tony is wrong on the CopyRight issue.

Perhaps my interpretation of what I read doesn't match your
interpretation of what you typed, and that was:

"He only wants to provide some help to the MV marketing (both D3 and
UV). He doesn't earn any single cent from this DOCUMENATION thing so
please don't get it wrong.."

However, my reading is that "Grigory is not making any money out of
this, therefore go easy on him. He's only trying to help everybody"

My understanding of the history leading up to this is that some years
ago, Grigory posted D3 documentation to his web-site with no
acknowlegement of where this documentation came from, nor who owned
the copyright to it. Because of these omissions, the copyright
owners, Raining Data, demanded that the documentation be removed from
that web-site, and told Grigory why they wanted it removed.

Apparently Grigiry complied.

Now, he's apparently done exactly the same thing again, this time with
UniVerse documentation that's copyright to IBM, and in his recent
discussions here with Tony, he has developed "Selective Memory" over
the Raining Data affair.

And you wonder why, eventually, Tony got terse with Grigory?

Mate, if the case is as I understand it, and I was Tony, I would have
exposed Grigiry (yes, "exposed") long before Tony did.

And I still stand by my earlier comment about "common decency",

Publishing ANYTHING without asking for permission and then
acknowledging the owner of any copyright is WRONG! Morally wrong.
Ethically wrong. Regardless of legally wrong. Regardless of the
lack of any money changing hands.

Especially if you've been taken down the same path before. It
doesn't matter a tinker's cuss if he's taken the offending
documentation down by now. It should not have been published there in
the first place. And Grigory knows it.

It is that simple. No negotiation. No nothing. End of story.

I'd hazard if Grigory had 'fessed up earlier, the "tone of Tone" would
not have been as harsh. Don't blame Tony.
