However, when I saw another of your posts where you say it does, and as I
don't think you'd lie about it, I went back and to my shagrin, I find that
my test account is a VME account where indexing actually works.
Shame on you!!!! :-)
The problem is the NT FSI specific indexing. I easily reproduced your
problem and you're absolutely right: that one just doesn't work.
Amoung many others. :-)
As to a-correlatives, I came to them late in life, too; but now I love
them. Since you can basically stack stuff forever, you can make dict items
like this (short examples; but you'll get the idea):
a0:N(CO)(R%2) : N(PRODUCT)(R%6) : N(PACK)(R%8)
But then, this simple correlative barfs on D3NT indexing so one always has
to be careful.
1 Enc (0)-> ACCT-INDEX APPO --IINDEX_
.. . . now searching test for Index files . . .
[404] 1 items selected out of 1 items.
....APPO,APPO now indexing (in suppress mode)...
[168] illegal a-correlative.: 'A11(DY):11(DM)(MR%2)'.
