Quite simple, actually. The FIRST thing to tell them is that "This
is going to be different...." and then explain about being driven by
user requirements and the dollars to be earned/spent from that, and
not theoretical requirements. It might take some time, but, in the
end, unless you're confronted with a "closed mind", you'll win
through.... eventually...
And... you have to monitor and mentor closely for a while..
Worked for me.... Must admit, though, had to work hard at the
"selection" process....but I looked it as "they were capable of being
faced with, and accepting, THAT, and they have learned to adapt to
THAT, so they must be capable of being 're-engineered' to something
closer to the real world. I was".....
