CGI works in Windows too.... He would need jBase on the web server and
access the data using jRFS.
Probably a jRCS solution would work better, would not require jBASE on the
web server.To be honest this would possibly work better than an mv.net
proxy - it can be wrapped up in either an asp page, a dll or a web service
preety easily and can call a databasic subroutine on another box.
Runtime for jRCS is about $30 - one off fee? The "wrapper" code takes
about 10 minutes to write (maybe a better project for yuo Tony - keep the
$260 per annum for yourself???)
