I'm just mentioning web services, whether using SOAP or REST or ..., as one option. In that case the user would need to have both a data source and related services (CRUD services, for example). Alternatively, the hosted service could do direct reads and writes of a specified data source. --dawn
As I suspected, you know much more about this than I do Dawn. I am (as these things go) fairly new to Web Services and SOAP. I am working to implement a framework for multivalue databases as part of my dissertation and would welcome the opportunity to discuss your findings if that would be OK?
