why is it that for several years with the FALSE setting we have NOT had
any
problems?
A Service Pack (Windows and/or Paradox, or even some obscure application
being installed) can have far reaching effects, that can be seen (felt)
workstation by workstation.
Particularly suspect is when a workstation, or group of them, suddenly
starts acting differently.
That's one of the reasons we ask so many [seemingly] unrelated questions,
when the obvious doesn't help. Eliminate what is KNOWN to cause issues,
then move on to the obscure stuff. (What you probably did before even
asking your question here.)
