Fred,
FYI, people will reply to the newsgroup rather than direct to email,
so that replies can benefit everyone. This link will point you to all
of the Paradox newsgroups available:
http://www.thedbcommunity.com/index.php?option=com_content&task=view&id=14&Itemid=43
....all the experts read all the groups, so when you post, please post
to just one.
Also note that there's a lot of information at that web site:
http://www.thedbcommunity.com/
Steve Green (http://www.diamondsg.com) and eBay are the two best
places to buy Paradox - I'd probably recommend Paradox 9 or 10.
Could you reply back to the newsgroup and let us know:
1. What is it you hope to do with Paradox (just maint of the tables or
extend the functionality of the app or...)
2. If willing, what's the name of this application? Adapta is the
only accounting package I know that uses Paradox tables.
3. Are you certain those are Paradox tables? Lots of apps use the .DB
extension for their own file format, so the extension alone isn't a
good indicator of whether the files are Paradox tables.
Best Regards,
Liz
PS: Remember - please reply back to the newsgroup rather than to
individuals and please go there to look for replies to you as we don't
generally reply by email (I'm doing it now cuz it doesn't look like
you've been back to check the group).
