Hi. I have the old DOS Paradox3.5 that I must use. It runs o.k. with Window
ME but when I got a new computer running Window XP, the Pdox3.5 program
advice me to reconfigure and when I tried to do so, I got this warning
message:
"Your machine is using an expanded memory manager that does not support the
Virtual Control Program Interface. You will not be able to run Paradox in
Protected Mode while this driver is loaded. Remove the driver from the
Config.sys file, restart your machine and run Custom to configure your
machine."
After exiting the DOS program, I got this error message:
System: BIOS checksum does not match, please reconfigure
System: Error processing parameters, no action taken.
As can be seen from the DOS program I am still using, I am consider a
dinosaur in computing. Can someone help? Can I remove the "driver" from the
Config.sys file and how to do it?
Many thanks in advance.
Kong
