I agree. I haven't been on this newsgroup for some years, but immediately
saw the familiar Sybrand Bakker replies, like he's been doing for years now.
I suggest he creates his own comp.databases.oracle.SybrandBakker group......

Some questions are trivial, but if they are, the answers are too in most
cases.

It's not only people in this newsgroup he's frustrating. It seems to be a
hobby of his. For those who can read Dutch read this:

Onzin, er bestaan wel degelijk gemodereerde nieuwsgroepen. Dankzij het
feit dat de meeste nederlandse niet gemodereerd zijn, kunnen eikels
zoals jij hier nog altijd hun uitwerpselen in kwijt.

Sybrand Bakker

Would he know that *comp* does mean *comp*uter, not *comp*lain ?

[an admittedly silly question]

Just like an ordinary parameter in an ordinary 3GL programming
language, as demonstrated in the PL/SQL reference manual.

Does the IQ of developers dwindly that rapidly, or are you just an
exceptional case?

While I do not dispute that the original question was astoundingly
trivial,
please think twice before you reply in such a rude manner.

Remember, you do not have to reply to postings that you perceive as
silly or irrelevant. Giving no answer is also an answer, and in a case
like that maybe the best.

The general tone on Usenet has already become so much more rude than it
used to be, there's no need to add to that.

Yours,
Laurenz Albe

Thank you for expressing your opinion. We will give it all of the
consideration it is worth.

That said ... perhaps you would remember that top posting is not appreciated.

Yeah I haven't changed much either. ;-)

Thank you.
