How do you change log_archive_dest_X when using the DG Broker...?

10.2.0.3 EE on Red Hat EL 4

How can you update the log_arc_dest parameters on a database which is
managed by the Data Guard Broker...

I've tried using the dgmgrl as follows:

dgmgrl /

DGMGRL> edit database "XXX" set property
'initialconnectidentifier'=<new setting>;

but this makes no difference to the parameter.

I've also changed it by hand using sqlplus but the Broker overwrites
it if i restart the databse or perform a switchover.

Thanks in advance.......
