I should've been more clear.
The ASM instances start, and disks are accessible
It's the actual database instances that don't start, and there is
nothing in the alert.log

We run Oracle 9iR2,10gR1/2 on RH4/RH3 and Solaris 10 (Sparc)
remove NSPAM to email
