Hi Daniel,
I installed the database as a part of a SAP installation. So the
installation was done by a preconfigured script.
But I've done the installation on 2 different servers before and i had
no problems with starting the dbca.
OS: Windows Server 2003 Standard Edt. R2 x64
Oracle Version: 10.2.0.2.0
PATH: D:\oracle\S11\102\bin;C:\WINDOWS\system32;C:\WINDOWS;C:\WINDOWS
\System32\Wbem;D:\oracle\S11\102\OPatch;C:\WINDOWS
\system32\WindowsPowerShell\v1.0
(The path to the java.exe is already deleted. I first thougt that the
installed sdk causes the problem)
ORACLE_HOME: D:\oracle\S11\102\
thx for the help
Daniel
The SAP System on top is running without any errors.
I like Frank's suggestions but I must confess I am amazed that SAP
is supporting 10.2.0.2 so quickly: Usually they lag behind.
My guess is that it is a Windows problem, I know easy out, but you
might want to compare installations with those that have worked.
And, of course, there is always the three fingered salute.

The funny thing about it is that other programs like the universal
installer, the migration assistent and so on are running without any
errors.
- Server has a fixed IP and a FQDN, network configuration is correct
- Oracle x64 version is installed
- I'm logged in as domain administrator so i have local administration
rights
- Java is installed but oracle opens the dbca with its own jre
How can i check if there is any classpath defined?- Hide quoted text -

Where did Oracle tell you, in which document, you should use the
*domain* administrator? You should NOT. You also shouldn't install
Oracle as domain administrator.
CLASSPATH is just another environment variable.
