Hello All,

I am installing oracle for general querry purpose and learning SQL.

I tried installing Oracle 9.2 database Personal Edition on my WinXP
SP2. In the beginnning the installation went on smooth. However at teh
end the Oracle Database Assistant came up and I thought things would be
fine , however it popped up an error of " Invalid size
expected419blahblahblah but got this 419blahblahblah. I did not know
the work around so I did ignore it and installed other products. It
said the installation was complete without a few optional features not
installed. Now I would want to run PL/SQL and practice running querries
on sample database. I am not able to log in because I dont know any UID
nor PWD , and neither did I create any database so I could use some
string . So now oracle is installed I cannot do anything. Is there some
thing to take that Invalid Entry size error and I reinstall the whole
thing .. or any other way out to start using it. Your help is much
needed .

thanks
Saur

Are you on XP Pro?

You might want to use
http://www.oracle.com/technology/products/database/xe/index.html
instead of 9i personal edition.

department: Last night I saw a TV news item about people protesting
against Clear Channel, a company that owns radio stations. They were
protesting against a radio show that had alledgedly promoted Marijuana
use. OK, it's a free country. The thing is, they were carrying signs
specifying the radio show in question - on a station that Clear Channel
divested months ago.
