DCD and JDBC_THIN

Help! Has ANYONE gotten DCD to work when the client is purely
jdbc_thin? I have spent hours reviewing documents on Metalink, Google,
and AskTom, but cannot find a definitive answer. Our database is
currently 8.1.7.3 on Solaris 2.6; However we are using the Oracle 10
listener, and the Oracle 9 jdbc client. Our firewall times out
connections after 45 minutes of idle. We have sqlnet.expire_time set
to 20. Seems to be working fine for standard net8 connections but not
jdbc_thin. If anyone has gotten this to work please let me know how.
Thanks.
