is the utl_file_dir parameter required to be identical for all
nodes(instances, 1 per) in a RAC cluster?
All nodes are looking at the same SPFILE.
But why are you using the utl_file_dir parameter? It has, essentially,
been replaced by the use of DIRECTORIES.
Look at the UTL_FILE demos in Morgan's Library at www.psoug.org. Not
one uses UTL_FILE_DIR.
