Whatever Jim, you are a real winner, and a heck of a person too.You get upset because you are pointed in the right direction, you give no
detail as to what you are looking for - just a vague "Define the universe in
general , be specific." kind of question. And yet you want some sort of
master's thesis for free. I can read documentation. You can't. If you
could you might have at least asked what book would be best to look in
first. That is a legitimate question, doing your homework for you isn't. I
would be glad to give you a detailed well written, documented answer to your
question provided you meet some basic criteria:
1. What version of Oracle? (5, 6, 7, 8,9, 10)
2. Clearer statement of the problem.
3. Payment in advance at $300/hour (US). My initial estimate of time to
answer this question in detail with examples and reference to documentation
is 1,000 hours of work. (You are pretty vague as to what the constraints
are.)
4. It will make a major difference as to what version of Oracle you are
asking about.(first clue that you haven't made any attempt to read
documentation)
You take care.
Jim
