12535 is usually caused by firewall. Remember, that the 1521 port is

Sybrand, we met on this argument another couple of time. Please, look at the evidences. The OP is using a unix (solaris). There is no such thing as port redirection.

The client connect to the listen port and there it stays (even for the forked project).
