12535 is usually caused by firewall. Remember, that the 1521 port is only used to contact the listener. When the listener forks a session the session is redirected to a random port. Sybrand, we met on this argument another couple of time. Please, look at the evidences. The OP is using a unix (solaris). There is no such thing as port redirection.
The client connect to the listen port and there it stays (even for the forked project).
