I don't have access to metalink, but I can bet there are some interesting
stories there.


The only horror story to be had is you are on a version of Oracle that
has not been supported during the current millenium.

8.1.6 should be avoided like the plague.

8.1.7.4 is decent though also totally unsupported.

Are you working toward a resume that will leave you near unemployable?
