Hello,
Urgently looking for Oracle client 8.1.7.2 installation package for
windows. Or just imp.exe. and exp.exe from this version.
Can anybody help?

What's the real problem? There are ways to get data out and put it
elsewhere without imp/exp. Is the database running? Can it be
accessed through sqlplus? Platform? What have you done?

It is a long story.
We used to work for years with 8.0.5.0 client and it was OK for us.
Recently we started to utilize queries that use links between 8 server
(on sun/solaris) and 9 server (on windows). Those link queries does
not work with 8.0.5 client (on windows XP desktop), Everybody tels me
it have to work, but it does not.
We have also 8.1.7.2 client installed via Novell ZEN (as snapshot AO).
It works fine with linked queries but lacks imp.exe and exp.exe.
There are also number of scripts that makes use of imp08/exp80 tools
from 8.0.5 client. It is easy to update them to use imp/exp from
8.1.7.2 (if I have them).
Also we tried to use ver 9.x.x.x client, but in this case we have
working liked queries, but all our old but important applications
(written in delphi) does not like OCI version with 9.x.x.x client.
So best solution for me is to find exp.exe and imp.exe from 8.1.7.2
client, or full client installation package (8.1.7.2 or later 8i
client).
