I have a client that needs to capture 'loan application' data on a web
form and then store that data in a SQL Server Express database.
Similarly, it needs to also display information in a web form about
loan applications previously submitted. Obviously, security of data is
important.
My current thinking is that the web form is located at an ISP but the
database is located in the clients Intranet. With this solution, speed
won't be great and security is a concern as the database is
potentially visible over the web.
Deploying the web-form on the company Intranet and web enabling it
will make it faster but raises a whole set of other security issues.
I am interested to know how others have tackled this issue?
