Since the suggestions you got for row_number were not feasible to
you, but I was never told why, I don't feel like spending more time
without knowing what you are looking for.
Could you please give a more detailed description of your problem.
Preferrably you should give us:
o CREATE TABLE statement(s) for your tables.
o INSERT statements with sample data.
o The desired results given the sample.
o A short descrition of why you want that result.
