A very stable Beta indeed.  This new OS, of

You expected a new version of Windows to be stable?

My only hope is that
Microsoft will show some gratitude to its loyal customers who made the
jump to Vista, rather than refuse to move from XP, and offer Windows 7 to
them either as a free upgrade or at least a significantly reduced price.

Too funny!

I recommend ignoring Windows 7 and buying an IPod Touch with the saved
bucks. These suckers are supernatural and will do almost anything a
laptop or desktop will do, often better and faster; they're not so
great at creating big documents because they themselves are small. But
all in all, they're incredible.
Did I mention that for 25 years or so I have been deriding Apple and
MacIntosh?
