[nothing at all that was responsive to the OP's actual question]

Albert, I have utmost respect for you, your expertise and your
dedication to helping out in the newsgroups, but why did you
think that response was worth posting? It won't help the OP at
all. Will it help anyone?

I thought I pointed out the several major issues when you move to
a server system. The op asked for some tips.

None of your tips were about MySQL, and that's why your post
bothered. I see on rereading that your responses are more
generalized than I'd originally read them as. I think your repeated
mention of SQL Server was what set me off, as I mistakenly read your
post more as a recommendation to use SQL Server instead of MySQL
than as a general summary of issues with server databases, whether
SQL Server or MySQL. Your followup summarizing what you had said was
much clearer to me than the original post.

Thanks for not getting pissed off at me -- the end result, I think,
is a post (your reply to my unnecessarily combative critique) that
is better than your original post at addressing the question asked.
