Re: Different versions of MS-ACCESS

I always recommend that you either develop, or test extra thoroughly, on the
same version of Access that the user has, at the same SP level. Can you
develop on your Access 2003, save in Access 97 format, then test extensively
on the user's machine under Access 97 before "delivering" the application to
the user?

Otherwise, you are tempting fate to confirm that "life is full of little
surprises".

Hello,

I have a user that is running an MS-ACCESS 97 application. However,
she needs to have some extra development work done on this database
but I have ACCESS 2003. I can open the application using ACCESS 2003,
however, I can't make modifications because I am on a different
version.

So, ACCESS 2003 said that I have to convert, which is fine to continue
the development work, but I will still need to move these objects back
to the ACCESS 97 database.

Any suggestions?

Thanks in advance,

Audrey
