Synching Outlook and my Palm is simple, easy and quick.
Synching Palm Desktop and my Palm is simple, easy and quick.
I have never been successful in synching Access and my Palm. I think
there are utilities that are intended to do so. My experience is that
if I have suitable hardware, Windows version, Access version, MDAC,
and, of course, no incompatible utilities installed, they may do so on
days when sunspot activity is minimal, for a month or two, or until
some CRUCIAL sync is required, when they stop.
Dataviz produces and sells Documents to Go (free on one of the Palm
CDs) ,which I use extensively. It's great. But only Word, Excel and
Power Point files work with Documents to Go.

I will soon be purchasing my first PDA for use on my job and I would like to
(in time) create a sync between the Access db that I use on my desktop and
something for the pda. It would primarily be a list of contacts and daily
time tracking on the job site. My first assumption would be that a "pockePC"
running Windows Mobile would be the best choice since Microsoft Windows,
Microsoft Access, however, from my research thus far, Microsoft does not
make a true mobile version of access. So, if I will essentially be using a
thrid-party solution can I safely consider the Palm line of handhelds? Does
anyone use this combination? I have looked quite hard at the Palm Tungsten
E2.
