If you just use Windows Terminal Services then users connect with a Terminal
Services client (liek remote desktop). This comes automatically on Win XP
and (I think 2000), but can be installed on other systems (even Linux I
believe) as a separate product.
It comes "standard" with Ubuntu. I tried it once just for fun and it
seemed to work fine, but I was running off a "live" CD of Ubuntu and I
didn't install it. But it did work!
The VNC client that came with Ubuntu connected up fine as well, but
for some reason I couldn't get it to work on a wireless connection.
Wired, no problem, but wireless wouldn't work. It wouldn't
authenticate to the secure network at the client site, but I ran it
before hand at another client's un-secured wireless network without a
problem! (And right after I connected without using a password, I had
a talk with the client's Network Administrator. Unsecure! Yikes!)
