OleDb update command not being reflected in Access database

I am trying to issue an update command from OleDb, but when I issue
the command and see how many rows were effected, it always returns 0.
If I issue the exact same command, on the same database, from the
Access SQL query window, the update works as desired. All of my
insert, deletes and selects from OleDb work perfectly. Does anyone
have any thoughts? Thanks.
