Perhaps by idiot, rkc is referring to your seeming misunderstanding
that Lyle and David are somehow being supportive of each other. I
don't see them as being supportive of each other at all. I'm using a
little artistic license with the following translations:

that, to me, didn't seem to address the question raised by the OP. I
was so outraged that I had no plans to let you out of my killfile.
Ever. That did not apply, however, to your new email address because
I don't have time to track every new address of every idiot and raver
I've ever killfiled. I decided to see if your manner had improved.
You seem to have toned down the outrageous rants and sometimes even
come close to intelligible conversation. Therefore, in the hope that
you will someday attain the intellectual and communication skills to
which I so demonstrably display, I will permit you to stay out of my
killfile provided you behave yourself and keep from slipping back into
the mindless drivel which you call answers. If you backslide, I'll
have no other choice but to send your posts somewhere where I won't
even have to look at them or get bothered by such crude indelicacy and
irrelevance.

Alas, poor David! How can you not see the brilliance in what some
consider irrelevant ramblings. If you truly study my answers
carefully you will see that the so-called ramblings are directly
relevant to the questions asked by the OP's. Perhaps your mental
development is not sufficient for you to grasp the connections because
they are just too subtle for you.

translation:
I know what brilliance looks like and I appreciate wisdom and wit.
Your posts don't fit into those categories.
It was a nice exchange of insults. The last one gives me hope that
David has a sense of humor. One final translation:
rkc: You are a bit of an idiot, MLH, but I gotta hand it to you for
being so resilient.
translation: You're not only an idiot, you make yourself look like an
even bigger idiot when you try to defend yourself because you prove
beyond the shadow of a doubt that you don't understand what's going
on. Then you persist because you don't understand how you're making
yourself look worse than before.
I, for one, can only hope that you're doing this on purpose, perhaps
to provide us with some entertainment. The part about never claiming
not to be an idiot fits in well with that idea. I've said a few silly
things, but even some of my mistakes have helped others get a better
understanding of Access. I hope yours will also.
