querydef. Clicking design mode, if the query is opened in view

In Access '97, saving from SQL mode does not prevent the query
from opening in design mode. and after the message, opens in the
query builder, having deleted the join.

Service pack difference perhaps? I get the same behavior in 97 that you say you
get in 2003.
