An ole object requires an OLE server to display it.
If the server is not installed on the machine, guess what?
There is a property for the object (I forgot which one) that tells you
what type of server it expects. Install that app and you should be
golden. Note: it is not enough to have an app installed that normally
handles files by the same extension. Not all apps are ole servers.

Hello everybody
My applications use a Bound Object Frame on some of the forms, which
display the application logo and/or the client's logo. These logo's
are stored in tables as OLE Objects.
Once in a while (3 times in 6 years to be exact), a computer does not
display these logo's - the Bound Object Frame is blank.
It is not the application or the OLE Object in the BE, as all the
other PC's at the site will display the image just fine - always just
one PC being stubborn. I have tried looking at settings and the like,
but have been unable to resolve this issue.
Has anyone else come across this problem?
Many thanks
Mike
