Thanks Steve.

Checked are:
VB for applications
MS Access 11.0 object library
OLE automation
MS Data Access Components Installed Version
acwzmain

I can't find Microsoft Data Access Objects though.

Still it's not working.

Check your references again. Be sure Microsoft Data Access Objects is
checked. Watch to be sure Microsoft ADO is not in your references. If
it is, uncheck it.

Access 2003

After my app is finished I'd like to create an mde file. Therefore my
db has to be made in the 2002-2003 format. So I've created a new mdb
(default in 2000 format), I converted this empty mdb to the 2002-2003
format. I've started to add code but discovered that non of my VB
code works. Even a simple <<msgbox "test">> doesn't work. I
constantly get the message about miscommunication between Access and
OLE souce program or Active X element.
Can someone please explain why this is happening??? I tried to check
some references but no luck.
Help!
thanks,
john
